A small electric hatchback well suited to city driving and shorter commutes, with an easy driving position and compact dimensions that make parking and manoeuvring straightforward. Rear seats fit adults for shorter journeys, though it works best as a car for four rather than five on a regular basis. This derivative has a WLTP range of 198 miles from its 40kWh battery, and DC rapid charging up to 80kW allows an 80 percent top-up in around half an hour. The 326 litre boot is a useful size for a car this size, and grows to over 1,100 litres with the seats folded. Euro NCAP rated the Micra four stars, with the option of a five-star result on versions fitted with additional driver assistance technology.
