Lexus Es Electric Saloon

This is Lexus's first fully electric saloon, bringing the brand's traditional comfort-focused approach to a battery-powered platform for the first time. It suits drivers who want a quiet, well-built executive saloon rather than the SUV shape that dominates most electric line-ups. The official WLTP range is 374 miles, and DC rapid charging reaches up to 150kW, allowing a reasonably quick top-up on longer journeys. The 512-litre boot is a useful size for a saloon, though the narrow bootlid opening makes bulky items harder to load than in a hatchback or estate, and the cabin favours a calm, quiet driving experience over outright excitement. As a newly launched model on an unfamiliar platform, it has not yet been independently crash tested by Euro NCAP.
