A compact SUV with a sloping, coupe-like roofline that sets it apart from Volvo's more conventional models. It suits drivers who want an SUV's raised driving position and generous safety kit, but prefer a sportier profile than the boxier XC40. The single-motor version offers a WLTP range of up to 272 miles, with DC rapid charging available at up to 150kW, so a meaningful top-up is possible in around half an hour on a suitable charger. The boot is a practical size for the class, and the load area expands considerably with the rear seats folded. Rear headroom is a little tighter than in the XC40 because of that sloping roof, worth bearing in mind if rear passengers are often tall adults.
