A premium electric estate built for comfort over long distances, aimed at company car drivers and families who want executive saloon dynamics with a bigger boot. It sits in BMW's 5 Series range alongside the saloon version of the i5. WLTP range is 365 miles from the 84kWh battery, and DC rapid charging peaks at 205kW, giving a useful top-up in around half an hour on a fast charger. The boot holds 570 litres with the seats up, extending to 1,700 litres folded, with room for five. Refinement and ride comfort are particular strengths, with 0-62mph in 6.1 seconds for a car of this size and practicality.
